Howie Rosenblatt Returns to URI as an Assistant Coach

Kingston, RI Wednesday January 21, 2015

The Rams have added Howie Rosenblatt to the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the remainder of the season.  After a two year stint as an assistant coach with the Rams from 2003-2005, Howie is reunited with his former Shea High School coach, Joe Augustine.  Coach Rosenblatt’s professional playing career as well has his coaching experience in high school and juniors will be an asset for the program.

Rosenblatt graduated from Merrimack College in 1991 and finished his career with 31 goals, 31 assists, 154 penalty minutes in 70 games.  Drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 1990 Supplemental draft, Howie played in over 350 games, scored 250 points and amassed 1495 penalty minutes during a successful 10-year professional career in the IHL, ECHL, UHL and AHL including the Providence Bruins.
